Gecko Travel Recruitment are working with a multi-award-winning travel business who are recruiting an Assistant Customer Service Lead to join their Customer Experience team.
The Role:
As Assistant Customer Service Lead you will lead a small but dedicated team handling programme changes and consolidations. You will ensure the highest standards of customer care while protecting business interests and retaining bookings. You will organise workflows, oversee escalations, liaise with Product Teams, and produce detailed reporting to continuously improve processes.
You Will Have:
• 2+ years' experience in a team leader or supervisory role within the travel industry
• Strong customer focus with the ability to turn challenging situations into positive outcomes
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, including proficient knowledge of Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident presenting to customers, stakeholders, and team members
• Calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure
• Ability to build strong relationships across departments
Additional Info:
• Salary £29-31,000 (depending on experience)
• Full-time role with 3 days per week in the Surrey office and 2 days working from home
• Occasional weekend working may be required at times
