Educational Travel Sales Consultant (GTR1631)

Gecko Travel Recruitment are excited to be working exclusively with this Educational travel business based in London. Due to a period of growth, they are seeking an Educational Travel Sales Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis.

As Educational Travel Sales Consultant you will be handling direct inquiries from schools and universities and fostering relationships through innovative business development strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling school tours, strong organisational skills, and a deep passion for educational travel.

The role:

• Managing both new leads and existing enquiries, converting them into bookings, and building and managing a portfolio of clients
• Ensuring excellence at every stage of the client journey, with clear communication and adherence to all processes at every touchpoint
• Collaborating with the operations team and clients to create enriching and inspiring travel itineraries for young people
• Maximising upselling opportunities and working to acheive your margin targets
• Attending school visits and conferences
• Delivering in person or online parents' evenings about our trips

You will have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in travel sales, ideally educational travel
• Proven sales experience within the travel industry
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Confidence to deliver talks at schools
• Ability to attend trade shows and events
• A passion for travel!

Additional Information:

• Salary £32-35,000 (depending on experience) plus commission
• Hybrid working model (2 days in the office and 3 days working from home)
