Indian Subcontinent Travel Consultant (GTR1785)

Gecko Travel Recruitment are working with a family run Tour Operator who are recruiting an Indian Subcontinent Travel Consultant to join their a wonderful team.

The Role:

As Indian Subcontinent Travel Consultant you will use your specialist knowledge of the Indian Subcontinent and Indian Ocean to create tailor-made itineraries, manage client enquiries, and deliver exceptional service. You will liaise with partners and clients throughout the booking process to ensure smooth arrangements from enquiry to post-travel feedback. You will also support marketing, product development, and promotional activities to help drive sales and engagement.

You Will Have:

• Previous tour operator experience selling the Indian Subcontinent / Indian Ocean (essential)
• Excellent product knowledge (particularly India and ideally Sri Lanka and the Maldives)
• Strong sales record with good conversion rates
• Ability to work towards sales targets with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Genuine passion for travel and customer care

Additional Info:

• Salary up to £34,000 plus attractive quarterly and yearly bonus scheme
• Full-time, permanent role (Mon to Fri, 9am-5pm)
• Ideally hybrid working from their office in Northumberland, although fully remote will be considered
